Gregory Packs Logo At age 14, Wayne Gregory designed his first backpack as part of a Boy Scout project. In 1977, intrigued with new directions in soft packs and internal frame concepts, he decided it was time to get back to his first love, designing backpacks. Wayne founded Gregory Mountain Products with his wife Suszy in San Diego, California. Originally, the fledgling company produced backpacks in the back room of Wayne's retail store. While Gregory Packs have certainly grown out of the backroom, they are still built with the same core belief: Like a good pair of shoes, a properly fit pack will be more than comfortable; it will disappear from your mind. With advanced technology like Jet Stream Suspension Systems, Wraptor Stabilizers, Adjust-A-Cant Waist Belts and many others, Gregory backpacks are some of the best performing and most comfortable packs available in the whole world. From huge expedition packs like the Denali Pro and Whitney, to the Z 55 and G Pack, Gregory makes a great fitting pack for whatever your needs may be.
